Every Journey Begins with a Single Step: My first week at UX Academy

This week, I started a UX design program through Designlab after spending the past ten plus years in residential architecture. Things started fast which conjured up flashbacks of the dark days of architecture school.

One standout moment, though, was this video that I came across in the first learning unit that really spoke to my thoughts and feelings about the issues I was having in architecture…and my critique of Silicon Valley culture and the products it generates.

Normally, I don’t talk out loud much about design, but I felt strongly aligned with Mike Monteiro’s presentation, and I think it is worth the time to watch if you can. I hope I can live up to it.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
