Sorted! The Postal Museum

We were lucky enough to get a sneak preview of Sorted which is the brand spanking new play space at the Postal Museum.

The play space is not massive but is cleverly set out as a mini neighbourhood and full of fun activities including a chance to try uniforms on, pretend to be working in the sorting office, phone boxes which were very popular, a postal trolley to push, again a big hit.

I think that the favourite with all the children would have to have been the slide and pulley system, which is within a replica postal sorting area. Such excitement to weigh parcels and post letters, a nice change from emails!

I was happy to see that within the Sorted play space there is a mini snack bar and the all important coffee machine, essential for those early morning starts!

As well as the play space there is a museum and we are waiting with much anticipation for the mail rail train to open on the 4th September. However you can visit the Sorted play space separately, a 45 minute session will cost £5. There will be holiday activities running through the summer so do take a look at https://www.postalmuseum.org/visit/for-families/whats-on-families/

We all enjoyed the visit and look forward to exploring the rest of the museum, now all we need is for the Postal Museum to offer annual passes!
