We are gun violence prevention activists and gun violence survivors. This is why we’re supporting Hillary Clinton for President. Scroll down to watch our videos.

Sandy Phillips: “We couldn’t get Obama or Romney to debate on this issue. Now here we are four years later with a candidate running on it. I will be voting for Hillary Clinton.” Sandy Phillips’s daughter Jessica Ghawi was murdered in the Aurora Theater shooting. Since then, Sandy and her husband Lonnie, both former Republicans and gun owners, have traveled across the country speaking about the need for common sense gun laws. They have met personally with Hillary Clinton, and are both avid supporters.

Rep. Stacey Newman: “I became dedicated to gun violence prevention 16 years ago, and that’s the reason I’m standing solidly behind Hillary Clinton.” Rep. Stacey Newman has been a Gun Violence Prevention activist since the Million Mom March in 2000 and is now a 4th term legislator in the Missouri House. She takes the lead in the state in fighting horrific gun bills while working to convince voters to make gun violence a priority.

Loren Lieb: “Hillary Clinton knows that political promises don’t matter if your life is cut short by gun violence. She has always been on the right side of this issue, and that’s why I’m with Hillary.”Loren’s 6-year-old son was shot twice by a neo-Nazi at the Jewish Community Center shooting in 1999. Hillary Clinton flew out to visit the child survivors as they recovered from their multiple gunshot wounds, assuring the families that she would stand with them and fight for them. Nine months later, she stood with them at the Million Mom March in Washington DC. Today, she’s still standing with them. Loren is a long-time member of the Brady campaign and serves on the board of Women Against Gun Violence.

Hollye Dexter: “For years, it felt like we had been screaming into a void. The first time I heard Hillary Clinton say she was going to stand up to the gun lobby, I fell to my knees and cried. I felt like the cavalry was on the way.” — — Hollye Dexter is an author and activist. She has had four incidences of gun violence affect her life. Aside from her writing career, she serves as Co-chair of the Board of Women Against Gun Violence.
