I’m so fucking sick of liberalism, after years of being part of the movement for social justice. Now it’s a witch hunt: where allies turn on each other and people are looking for any sort of moral high ground that allows them to verbally assault anyone who doesn’t agree with them 100%. This is no longer a righteous cause and I will not side with people who want rights at the expense of putting others down.

It’s interesting. When people are oppressed and get a little power they start treating others the way they were treated. For example: Hutus and Tutsis. This example is more extreme because it involves genocidal violence, which thankfully has not occurred on the American left! But the behavior, of victimized people coming to power and inflicting the same treatment back, is the same. When you have been hurt you still have a responsibility to not keep repeating the same behavior, even though you have been wronged.

Not that morality matters with liberalism anymore. We can’t even get on the same page about facts about reality, since whenever reality threatens the righteous fight for freedom it can be denied and people who repeat the truth can be called bigots.
