I think part of the problem is the whole process of “becoming a writer” seems daunting and the goal amorphous. If we try tackling it as a daily thing — today I’ll make ten minutes to write whatever I want — then we can start measuring progress without this looming anxiety of working toward a huge goal with no mile markers.

Repeat every day, 365 times and you’ll have something pretty big.
