Aiming for perfection in writing
Eric Turner

This is so important for new writers to remember. If you obsess over making it perfect, it will fail. It will never be perfect. If you create a new standard of what perfect is, perhaps a standard you know you can attain, then yes, you can make perfect happen. However, my experience reading submissions when I was editing an anthology showed me that even pieces which some might consider unperfect — those that broke standards or experimented, mean they were perfect for me as an editor. Editors have subjective tastes, just like everyone else.
