Since the pixie stick cookies were so bad, I was destined to improve them.

We used the same base cookie, however we added a Carolina Reaper pepper glaze to the top of them in order to sweeten the cookie and add some real flavor.

Recipe:

4 tablespoons water

powdered sugar

1 tablespoon light corn syrup

1 Carolina Reaper

Process:

  1. mix water and light corn syrup

2. slowly add powdered sugar until glaze is no longer watery, but slightly thickened. It will be around 2 cups of powdered sugar.

3. go and pick a pepper!

4. thinly slice or zest the Carolina Reaper and add to the glaze.

5. mix well and store overnight, allowing flavors to combine. Then put on top of sugar cookies.
