Jacob Oller — thanks for illuminating that obscure corner of American history. I’m always amused when Confederates consider someone from the south who’s loyal to the USA a “traitor.” Then their phony “states rights” — states rights didn’t seem to matter when they passed a law in Congress allowing slave catchers to retrieve escaped slaves from anti-slave states, so much for “states rights” . . .
