Are you wondering how to get featured in Honeyfeed’s new Homepage banner? Do you want to see your novel be featured there?
Here we will talk about how to get featured in Honeyfeed’s homepage banner.
As of now, there are three ways to get your novels featured:
- Receive the most comments in a month.
Out of all the novels posted in Honeyfeed, we will feature the novel that obtained the most comments during the current month. This will be updated the last day of every month; encourage your readers to give you feedback through comments! What other ways can your novel gain more comments? Try publishing more often, the more your novel is updated, the more chances people can come back to read what’s next and express their thoughts through comments. We recommend posting once or twice a week. We know writing is tough work, so instead of publishing a long text, divide it into sections and try out publishing shorter chapters!
2. Short Reads
Short reads are one of the easiest ways to get your novel featured in Honeyfeed. People are always on the go, and sometimes it’s easier to read something short. Create one-shots that your viewers can enjoy reading in a few minutes or entire short stories that viewers can finish in a couple of hours or a few days. Writing a short story doesn’t have to be as committing as a full novel, it’s something you can write fast and publish daily or weekly. Maybe it can serve as a prologue for a bigger story, or as a prequel to a story you are working on, or maybe even a special spinoff of your long-running novel; get creative! The maximum words a short story can contain is about 30,000 words (roughly about 12 chapters). To be featured as a short story in Honeyfeed, your novel must be complete and be between the maximum amount of words or less, OR, must be written in short/compact chapters with a reasonable amount of word count per chapter.
*If your short novel is ongoing and surpasses the maximum amount of words, it will stop being considered a short read and it will not be featured as one in the future.
3. Staff picks
Once in a while, our staff stumbles upon a hidden gem in Honeyfeed. Stories that are very well written; stories that are a lot of fun to read; stories that hook us from beginning to end or even stories that we find very unique and original. These stories are selected by real people, people we trust to recommend the best they can find on Honeyfeed! How to become a staff picked feature? Keep working hard in your novels by revising your grammar and syntax, spark interest in the community with your story composition, publish regularly and most importantly engage with the community through comments, feedback, and participation in Honeyfeed’s social media or your own.
