11 quotes that shaped my personality, explained

We all change during our lives. Bellow I present you 11 quotes that highly influenced me in everything I do today. I also explain what they mean for me and what you can learn from them.

1. Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference
— Winston Churchill

Everything goes better with smile and positivity!

Approach people with best expectations, they will reward you with their best traits. Don’t judge book by a cover.

2. Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t - you’re right
— Henry Ford

You can do (almost) anything you can dream of! Work hard and you will be soaring with the eagles, if you want. But if you decide you are not capable, you will find reasons why are you true. Don’t be a coward!

If you start thinking that your knee hurts, if you focus long enough, it will. If you focus on how healthy you are, your subconscious mind will find the ways through influencing your conscious mind to be healthy.

3. Journey is the goal
— [Personal fiend]

We are told to set goals, we set them and chase them. When we achieve them, we are happy, but only for a moment. Then we set another goals. We develop addiction to chasing goals, we spent our lives chasing happiness whereas happiness stands in front of us.

Make your goal a process. Set your goal that your goal is your life journey. Know your purpose. Know why you are waking up every day. Enjoy every day, do what you love, enjoy the moment. But, don’t get absorbed by the moment, know the presence.

Life was meant to be lived in peace, calmness — say goodbye to stress.

4. Doors of success are built on hinges of discipline
— [Personal fiend, who got inspiration from Zig Ziglar]

If you want to achieve meaningful things, firstly set-up strong discipline. Keep the discipline, things will come, later.

Through setting up discipline, you allow your personality changes to last.

The most important things in the world are not the materialistic ones — don’t allow society tell you what values are important.

It’s far more better to do 1/7 of the thing every day than whole thing every week. Small things counts. Persistence is the key.

If you think you can do all the things at once with good productivity you just lie to yourself. One thing at a time is approach of professionals.

5. Relationships are the most important things in your live
— Pavel Belobradek and [Personal fiend]

There is nothing more than relationships. There is nothing more than friends and family, they are the source of happiness. They provide love and understanding. When all other things fail they stay. When you are so broke you can’t buy a coffee, so ill you can’t walk, if you have good relationships you can still be happy. Some people are so poor that only they have is money.

When you die, you live in hearths of others. When you die, you live through relationships.

Don’t go to work to buy things, to pay mortgage. Go to work so you can enjoy life and relationships. Go to work so when you return home there is someone waiting for you.

This rule is the most important for me - because it took me long time, many mistakes and many small (and often short-term) changes until I fully understood it.

6. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far, go together
 — [African proverb]

If you have the knowledge or experience, there will come days when you can finish things without needs of team that’s here for you: faster alone than with them. Never fulfil this temptation. With team you share bad and good moments, you learn, you got new insights, you have the chance to see problems from their perspective.

You can have lunch fast alone, but isn't it funnier with a friend? You can go to a pub with friends, but isn’t it better to go anywhere else rather with your best friends/soul-mate?

7. We rise by lifting others
— Robert Ingersol

You can’t achieve any recognition without recognizing others. You can’t achieve any recognition without raising recognition of others. If you need help, help people. If you want to succeed help other to succeed.

8. I know that I know nothing
— Socratic

You can’t know everything, don’t try to. The more you learn the more you realize how complex world is. The more you know the more you realize how much you don’t know. Real freedom does not come from ignoring all world’s complexity and unfairness, but by their total acceptance. Wisdom comes more form experience than from knowledge, for that reason old people are wise and we should respect them. There are powers in the world you can’t control, don’t waste your energy trying to control them.

9.Sharpen the saw!
— Stephen R. Covey

Don’t be busy! Every now and then, take your time and step back. Analyze your behavior. Answer yourself key questions: What is my purpose? Am I doing right things? Am I doing things right?

It’s not about having the most experiences but experiencing the most out of a few.

10. One person can achieve hundred things, two together can achieve thousand
 — [Believe me or not but I heard it in my dream; when I searched for it I found resemblance to Bible, Deuteronomy 32:30]

Alone you can achieve great things, but find partner(s) and you can change the world. If you want to succeed in business, find co- entrepreneur, mutual independence will lead to towards great days. Find your soul-mate in the world, love and support will lead you to happiness.

11. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs
— [Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4–5]

Love is the strongest power in the universe. Love can break any barrier. In the end, there is nothing than love. Love is an ultimate thing that is worth fighting for, anywhere, anytime. Love provides absolute reason why. It’s never late for love.

If you deny love, you deny life.

It’s never late to say “Thank you”. It’s never late to say “Sorry.”

It’s not easy to always follow those principles, but who told you life is easy? Tries to follow those makes my life better, happier.

Have you read all the way here? You got my respect. Try to take one quote you loved the most and implement it in your life, you won’t regret it.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
