Problem > Solution
Love the problem more than your solution.
I may be the engineer in our current startup but I’ve dealt with being the entrepreneur in my past startups.
I don’t know why it gets me so excited, that I’ll just skip problem validation and urgently build my idea to a product.
Well assumptions sucks. Consumer doesn’t want my solution after all and all my effort was for nothing.
I did it twice in two of my startup. Where I thought of the solution first and ponder “what could the problem be for this solution?”, second.
It didn’t go well and I had to pivot multiple times till we burnout and die.
In the end, I will be disciplined to love the problem more rather than my product because
Consumers will never buy the product. They’ll buy the solution for the problem they are experiencing.
