hoo.gy day #5

Today marks day #5, and as always I am going to keep this “challenge to build a usable product in 7 days” honest …

Yesterday, I committed to finalize the authentication, it is not perfect but works! All screens of the UI including search, search results, booking an item and profile are done. The only screen that is incomplete is for adding an item.

Lessons — UI takes more time, for future projects, I better plan(sketch) everything on paper first. For the small good audience I got, It looks like smaller blog posts(less than 2 minutes) are making a difference!

Tasks are planned for day #6: completing UI to add item for lease/rent. Dispatch requests to server and process returned JSON data. To make a reservation, an email will be sent to the owner(basic, but usable). Search results yields only available equipments/tools. Am I on the right track? The answer is Yes and No. Yes for programming, No for PR and user acquisition!

Tomorrow, I am taking a day off to have a time of my family(Christmas baby!) — For Christmas day, I got a warning from my girlfriend that she will kill me if I ever touch a keyboard! I don’t know if iPhone and iPad keyboard count …. technically that comes down to two days! Feel free to send me a suggestion on anything. Hit that share button, I really need it! Merry Christmas to you all, I promised a list of resources I am using, and I will keep that promise!
