So it was day two of our biking adventure. As we learnt all the basics yesterday it meant a proper road trip was in order for today. I was fully mic’d up with Tom so I could hear him the whole way along as Pete followed on behind me. We headed out along several different roads on Kasi and saw some amazing views and animals along the way. We tackled different terrain as the majority of the roads did not have tarmac.

As it rained the day before the dirt tacks were a wash with puddles that filled every pothole in the road making it extra muddy and slippy when zooming through. One patch became a particular problem for me as I tried to avoid the edge of the road I panicked and swerved to much that I landed with what I like to call a graceful thump. Just a mere scratch to myself that is all.

Travel to Luang Prabang

After a tiring day of biking it was time to head off to Luang Prabang by bus. I have to say it’s the prettiest journey I have ever been on. Winding through mountains and padi’s. It was too beautiful words just can’t describe.

Tom was really sweet and made us a surprise lunch for the bus which consisted of peanut butter sandwiches. (We had earlier had a discussion on great sandwiches, this being one of them)

When we finally arrived 4 hours later Pete looked as white as a sheet, it seems that dog may not of agreed with him and we spent the evening in our beautiful hostel.
