Where are you Jon Stewart?
People are needy! I included. This is what I and millions of people want: to have Jon Stewart’s voice in this crazy election cycle. Almost none of things that happened during past few months make sense. And it would have been great to have Jon’s jokes on bullshit mountain, or in this case bullshit tower, of Trump to give it some sense.
Here is my point, if you listen you can almost hear his voice in previous collaborators. You can see and hear his influences on programs of his “correspondents” Stephen Colbert, Samantha Bee, John Oliver, and Trevor Noah and non-correspondent of daily show, Seth Meyers. But the problem is not that we don’t have enough political satire, as we do. The problem is that we miss him on an emotional level. I know that probably he leads a happy life in his farm in New Jersey, but, somehow, that thought is not satisfying enough!
P.S. Probably his last public appearance, as of now, is on the episode #13 of 2 Dope Queens podcast. [in case you missed it].
