International tourist arrivals (overnight visitors) in 2016 grew by 3.9% to reach a total of 1,235 million worldwide, an increase of 46 million over the previous year. This might be benefited for some developing countries due to direct benefited given to the tourism industry.

Given the fact, Tourism contributes to damage the culture, nature, and resources within the area, even if a lot of movement Champaign eco-tourism, however this preventive measure still need to be evaluated.

Sustainable tourism can be defined as: “Tourism that takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment, and host communities. (UNWTO), hence the analyst of it still need to be evaluated day by day

Let’s take a look how Bali got the damaged due to the existence of tourism still cannot overcome the entire benefit, in the period of January to May 2016, the number of foreign tourists visiting Bali is 1.800.000 people. While in 2017, Bali receives 4.55 million foreign tourists visit during the nine months of January-September 2017. It is increased 916.047 people or 25.17 percent over the same period the previous year recorded 3.63 million people.

It shows the growth is assured, but Bali is still in Jeopardy, for instance; Scams threat the tourists in Bali, The most prominent is the theft. Various criminal acts put foreign tourists as victims or perpetrators, became a serious problem in Bali, as the world’s tourism destination. The criminal act such as theft, robbery, rape, and other cases are often heard and experienced by tourists.

The Damage toward the environment, the source of the damage is derived from the number and behaviour of tourists that can disrupt and damage local environmental conditions. Relates closely to the carrying capacity of the environment and can be controlled by the application of good tourism management by applying acceptable limits on changes. The process used is adaptive active. Always be able to see any changes that occur by setting criteria and indicators tailored to the purpose of the built tourism paradigm.

The density in Bali, Too many tourists will disrupt the convenience of the tourists themselves and also the people living in the area, especially if this happens in protected areas. The density in Bali will cause some bad effects on the environment. The potential imbalance of nature would trigger some dangerous disaster such as flood and landslide.

Too much building that ruin ecosystem, it increased tourism development becomes not well controlled. So, it can interfere toward comfort and damage the environment. There are two types of construction, namely planned construction and unplanned construction. Planned development such as resorts, hotels, docks, road access, and other tourism support facilities are good. They already occupy space and a certain amount. The example of unplanned construction is tourism workers’ homes. Unplanned construction is usually caused by people looking for jobs in the tourism sector. The construction is often arbitrary. It doesn’t pay attention to sanitation and environmental hygiene so often emerging slums and wild huts around the tourist sites.

The feel-good factor of tourism oftentimes comes elusive the rational long-term damages followed, no wonder in this era, country such as Italia, Spain, Amsterdam and spread across European countries have just revamped their international travel policy to the Anti-Tourist Measure Policy, this movement growth quite significant in Spain and sporadically across European country, known as Tourist-phobia. This action ensures that the most important tourism activities rely on the management and the policy. The control is a must, this decade defines the fact of tourism scholar is needed to assure the management and policy created in the long run, just because tourism graduates school centralized in the European does not always mean their tourism measure will always be best.

It teaches us how the tourism scholar and supported by analytical data are obliged to assist safe and peace tourism growth not only contribute to financial beneficial but also well-balanced in all aspect.
