The president-elect clearly distrusts Silicon Valley, and seems unhappy with technological progress in general.
Tech CEOs’ Nightmare: A President Totally at Odds With Their Values
Steven Levy

The lack of rigor in this thinking is reflective of the failure of Hillary Clinton — her confusion, with which you align yourself in the sentence below about tech elites. I don’t believe tech elites, whoever they might be, outside of the usual suspects, are remiss if they do not get inside working-class struggles. We want Silicon Valley to do what it does best — deliver outstanding products. Not gnash teeth over the working-class. And perhaps put conclusions about the president-elect on hold for now, and keep politics out of it. Trump is proving, right now, that he should be taken seriously, but not literally. The campaign set no policy, no regulation. It was a campaign.
