Smartphones and tablets have become an integral part of today’s lifestyle. This incredible innovation of technology has brought a revolution in the current communication industry. We use this handy gadgets for several different purposes like clicking pictures, listening to music, watching videos, saving documents, surfing net, shopping online, chatting with buddies and of course for making and receiving the calls. But with the wide availability of different types of smartphones available in the market today, it is never easy to determine which one to choose for you, which may best suit your needs and personality.

Here is a list of things that you must consider before you finalize your choice of investing into your next smartphone.

· Display — The resolution and size of display you choose to buy significantly depends on how often you use your phone to watch movies, edit photos or videos, checking emails, download files and chatting and browsing social media apps. If you do all these activities so frequently, a smartphone display ranging from 5.5-inch to 6-inch, full-HD or QHD resolution would be a wise choice for you.

· Camera — Camera is one of the most fascinating features of modern handsets in this selfie-conscious society. Thus, you should look for the handset that have a higher MP front and rear camera. However, just having the higher number of megapixels does not mean that the camera quality of your smartphone would be better. There are several other specifications that matter more such as camera aperture, pixel size, autofocus, ISO levels etc. are more essential.

· Battery — The performance of your phone battery differs from user to user depending on the way they utilize their phone. If you are the person who uses their phone so often for playing games, chatting with friends, browsing webs or being active on social media platforms, you should go for buying a phone with at least 3500mAh battery or above. However, if you are a light or average user, a phone with 3000mAh battery will also serve your purpose well throughout the day.

· Storage — A huge part of storage is occupied from the OS and apps, the device comes pre installed with. There are phones with the storage capacity of 16GB/32GB/64GB or more. So, a smart choice says to go for the one with higher storage option. The more storage a device offers, the more room you will have to store your documents, files, audios and videos. However, if don’t like to keep more number of apps and other necessities on your phone, 16 GB storage will also be more than enough for you.

· USB Port — USB port is also a very vital factor to consider. While both USB Type-C ports and micro-USB are available in today’s phones, it is always advisable to prefer to USB Type-C; not just due to the reason that it is easy to plug in but also it is future-proof.

· Speakers — Sound quality coming out of your phone’s speakers can be an important parameter for such people who count on heavy video streaming or video conferences. If you are a keen music lover or a person who likes entertainment-on-the-go, opt for a handset that has front-facing speakers. It will give the clear sound even while on the go. Phone with speakers placed at the back are also fine.

So, do consider on all these points when thinking of buying your next phone!
