Design
One of the first things you’ll notice about the new iPhone 11 is that it looks very similar to last year’s iPhone XR. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as the iPhone XR was one of the most popular iPhones ever released. However, there are a few subtle differences in the design of the new phone. For starters, the camera bump on the back of the phone is now slightly larger to accommodate the new camera system. Display
The display on the iPhone 11 is unchanged from last year’s model. It’s still a 6.1-inch LCD “Liquid Retina” display with a resolution of 1792 x 828. That might not sound as impressive as the OLED displays found on other flagship smartphones, but in practice it’s still an incredibly clear and bright display.
Camera System
One of the biggest changes on the new iPhone 11 is the camera system. The phone features two camera sensors on the back: a wide-angle sensor and an ultra-wide angle sensor. This gives you much more flexibility when taking pictures and filming video. The front-facing camera has also been updated with a wider field of view and support for slo-mo video recording.
Battery Life
Apple claims that the battery life on the new iPhone 11 is up to one hour longer than last year’s model, and in our testing we found that claim to be largely accurate. With moderate use, we were easily able to get through a full day on a single charge. The new iPhone 11 is an iterative update over last year’s model, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth upgrading to if you’re due for a new phone.
