Identities all around us
As we learned about our identities in class, it got me thinking of our identities as freshman. Will our identities shape our college experience? In my opinion, I think it will play a role, but to me our identity isn’t as important as our abilities and talents. I think our skill set is more important, showing how we’re more than what people can identify us as. True, one’s identity can help us find the right type of people or be used as an advantage, but people can use it to put a damper on our spirits. That’s why we should embrace who we are and try to move on. This relates to me somewhat because as a freshman, I encounter a lot of problems that apply to me because I’m new to campus which can provide some insight to what I might ask people in a interview for my project.
