Own Your Health

In the last couple of months, I’ve taken a deep dive into our healthcare system. It all started when my mother was diagnosed with a blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma. Since then, I’ve been accompanying her along the journey of trying to find an informed and considerate oncologist, hunting for the most effective treatment, researching blood test results, etc.

It’s been the most challenging experience my family has gone through — but that’s not what this is about. It’s also not about how our healthcare system is shit. It’s not about how our medical records are fragmented and cryptic. It’s not about how our doctors exclusively use toxic tools without suggesting the complementary use of proven natural tools. This instead is a note to remember that the person with the most motivation to heal your body in the least toxic way possible is yourself.

Your pal, Hoyd
