Convict Lake, Eastern Sierra, CA

Fall foliage at Convict Lake also has begun. It’s probably peaking now, compared to 1 1/2 weeks ago when I visited. The light rain clouds were relentlessly swirling over Laurel Mountain and Bloody Mountain. Mt. Morrison was peeking out as a pall of gloom was slowly seeping into the canyon. The array of green/yellow foliage still dazzled the fall foliage pilgrims at the shore though.
