Consequences of my selfish mindset

I spent the first years of my life being celebrated for my individual achievements.

Our educational system led me to build the perfect “survival of the fittest” mindset, teaching me that success was a zero-sum game, that if I was equipped with the best grades and the most amazing resume, I would prosper.

The result is that I grew up with a very selfish mindset constantly thinking about what I could achieve alone.

I was wrong!

Over the years I have learned that success is incredibly related to teamwork and who you surround yourself with.

Successful people understand that winning isn’t just about them, but about how well they complement their skills working as a team.

Successful people stop pursuing individual success. Their efforts are no longer focused on becoming number one but towards becoming stronger together.
