The Board of Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group firm, has decided to declare Third Interim Dividend on Equity Shares on Thursday, January 19, 2023, if any. The company had informed that the record date for eligibility to declare third interim dividend would be Monday, January 30, 2023.
“In pursuance of our letter dated January 12, 2023 to the Securities and Exchange Board of India. In pursuance of Regulation 29 and 42 of the Co (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, notice is given that the Board will also consider Third Interim Dividend on Equity. The record date for the entitlement of third interim dividend, if any, for the shares for the financial year 2022–23 shall be January 30, 2023, if any, at the meeting to be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023. The company had given this information in the exchange filing earlier this week.
In the last 12 months, Hindustan Zinc Limited has declared an equity dividend of ₹36.50 per share. At the current share price, this results in a dividend yield of 10.09%, according to Trendline data.
Hindustan Zinc earlier this month said its mined metal production rose marginally by one per cent to 2,54,000 tonnes in the third quarter of the current fiscal. The company’s mined metal production stood at 2,52,000 tonnes in the year-ago period.

The mined metal production in the third quarter of the current financial year was 254 quintals, with a “marginal quarter-on-quarter decrease due to higher ore production and overall mined metal grades,” the company said in a statement. Its refined metal production fell 2% at 2,57,000 tonnes during the period under review. Hindustan Zinc’s integrated zinc production declined by two per cent to 2,10,000 tonnes during the third quarter.
Hindustan Zinc is an integrated producer of Zinc, Lead and Silver. The company is headquartered in Udaipur, Rajasthan where it has zinc lead mines and smelting complex. The stock has gained more than 12% over a one-year period.
