I have chosen “point of view” as my technique for this assignment. The reason I chose this technique is because it shows first person’s emotions and interactions with the surrounding which let us experience the exact same thing as if we were that person. I adapted the technique used in a movie called “Enter the Void” by Gaspar Noe. As you can see in his movie, there are emptiness and darkness. He had created a first person view with wide angle. It shows us the human experiences within a certain area. However, in my film, I included the interactions between human and objects. I had taken my film at a traffic light because I wanted to portray, from my point of view, the movements of people and cars, and how the buildings surrounding them created the movements. From my observation, the structures of the buildings and pavements enable people to move along naturally with safety of people being the top priority. Overall, I would have done better if I were to stabilize my camera so that there will be less distraction.
