What After Application to WBJEE 2017?
WBJEE is a state level entrance exam, conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, for students who wish to take admission to engineering, architecture, and pharmacy programs in colleges in West Bengal. After the filling of the application form, candidates must keep track of the various exam related events including, admit card download, exam center allocation, exam date, result announcements, and finally, counseling.
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a state level common entrance test, conducted to assess students for admission to various undergraduate degrees offered by private and government colleges and universities in the state of West Bengal. Organized by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, the exam focuses on programs for engineering, architecture, and pharmacy.
Qualifying the WBJEE 2017 exam makes students’ eligible for admissions to Government Colleges and Self-Financed Institutes in West Bengal. The application process for the exam has concluded and students have started avidly preparing for the exam. WBJEE 2017 syllabus mainly comprises of subjects including physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics.

Admit card download:
The admit cards for WBJEE 2017 applicants will be released online on the official website of WBJEE, and will be available for download from 12th April 2017 onwards. Candidates are supposed to download their admit cards from the website and get them printed (there will be no physical dispatch of the same).
The admit cards are mandatory for the exam day, failing to carry which may bar students from entry. The admit card contains information like the name of the candidate, category, photo, roll number, personal details, signature of the holder, exam venue, time of exam, and time of reporting.
Exam Centre Allocation:
WBJEE 2017 exam centers are allotted to candidates, based on the choices marked by them in the application form.
The Exam Date
To be held on the 23rd of April, 2017, WBJEE 2017 will be held in two phases:
1) Mathematics from 11 am to 1 pm, and
2) Physics & Chemistry from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Candidates will have to answer the questions on an Optical Machine Readable (OMR) response sheet. The instructions on the back of the answer sheet should be carefully read and followed. Candidates will be given four options for each question and they will have to mark the correct one.
Along with the candidate’s eligibility for different courses, the marks scored in the WBJEE will be considered for admission to various colleges. The result for the WBJEE 2017 exam is scheduled to be announced, tentatively, on the 5th of June 2017, after which students will be called for counseling, depending on their scores in the WBJEE exam. The result will be declared by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, and the counseling details, along with the cutoffs for different courses, shall be posted thereafter.
After the declaration of the result, candidates will be updated with the notification regarding e-counseling sessions and seat allotment, via the WBJEE official website. During the counseling, details flourished by the candidates will be verified and allotted colleges, according to the number of seats available, choices filled, and the candidate’s score.
