What You Need to Know Before Applying for SNAP 2017
The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is an all-India entrance exam for admissions into Symbiosis colleges and other affiliated universities. This examination requires a certain level of preparation, apart from being eligible for the exam.
The eligibility criteria for the Symbiosis exam are identical to most other pan-India entrance tests. It requires a few simple things from the candidate, like 50% aggregate marks in graduation, which should have been completed from a recognized university. The minimum is reduced to 45% for SC/ST candidates.
Apart from this, they also require a passport size photograph that isn’t more than three months old, to be submitted in the specified file format. Also, any candidate having a graduation degree from a foreign university has to obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities.
After making sure that you fit all of the above mentioned criteria, you can proceed to register for the SNAP exam, after which you can fill and submit the SNAP application form.
The SNAP registration form is available only in the online mode. Hence, you have fill and submit it online, as well.
For this, you will need to validate your email ID and mobile number. You will receive an OTP that will verify your mobile number and enable you to proceed to downloading the first part of the registration form. You can then make the payment for the SNAP test and proceed to the second part of the registration form.
After filling the second part of the registration from, you can make payments for the programs that you have selected. This payment works out to INR 1,000 per program. Remember that anything you pay is non-refundable.
The SNAP entrance test is an all-India exam for which lakhs of students apply every year. The competition is therefore, bound to be fierce for the seats. To match that level or to do better, you will have to prepare for it like an athlete prepares for a race.
Start by perusing the syllabus and charting out a study plan according to what you feel most comfortable with, and what needs some more effort. Do a little bit every day and make sure that you finish studying the whole syllabus at least a month before the exam. This way, you will have sufficient time to revise the topics, depending on how well you retain everything.
Go through some of the old question papers if possible. This is an invaluable tactic, as it will let you get acquainted with how the exam is set. Apart from this, you also need to check the paper pattern and the question types beforehand.
From the submission of the SNAP application form till the exam day, do everything correctly and you will be able to achieve the desired results. After that, you will be called for the interview rounds, and depending on your program choice, you will have to go to specific Symbiosis or affiliated university campuses.
