Tan Hua Temple Park in Kunming
Winter is coming in Kunming so we decided to reward our staff and students for all their hard work learning and teaching Chinese. We chose to have a BBQ party in Tanhua temple park in Kunming. A beautiful old park with plenty to see and a relaxing atmosphere.
Upon arrival at the park we went to a small BBQ area manned by expert BBQ preparation specialists who quickly filled our two BBQs with hot coal for the food we brought. We exchanged stories about learning Chinese in Kunming and learned more about other students and staff. We played some games and ate for over 2 hours. We ate beef, pork,, fish, vegetables weighing over 10kg! Anyone in Kunming should definitely visit this park.
This is a great example of why we live in Kunming. What other city in China can you have Chinese lessons in the morning and head out to a park to enjoy fresh air, BBQ and sunshine in late November?
