I always get angry at consumers for funding artists and actors who have faced no repercussions, but I never thought to ask why their management (agency, label, etc.) hasn’t dropped them. When you brought up that point in the article, I couldn’t believe that I never considered the middle man!
Sadly, greed is the driving force behind many people in the entertainment industry. It doesn’t surprise me that the “higher ups” wouldn’t want to let go of a client that could make them wealthier.
With that being said, I have so much respect for PWR BTTM’s previous management and label. I’m glad they were able to disassociate themselves despite being aware of the band’s potential.
