I suppose it all depends on family dynamics, once we clear our side of the street(nobodies perfect) then resentments may fade. I’m in recovery and learned a lot about forgiving and being forgiven. Bottom line those family members who are douches were probably brought up by douches (learned behavior) sound familiar? Its up to us to break the chain, love them from afar. Don’t resent them! As Mandela once said resentment is like drinking poison hoping to kill your enemies.
