You forgot to add that cars don’t know where they can park beforehand. By law, they need to check each and every parking slot every time they want to park. It takes forever, sometimes the owner is not there and they have to wait a long time. Also by law, they need to leave the car running while they wait. Every time someone builds a new house, you need to go and check their parking lot too. So the more houses are built, the more inefficient the system becomes. The system is nice in theory, but in reality the air of the city is so polluted that no one can breathe, and gas stations are always empty. Because of the demand, price for gas has multiplied 100x since this dumb idea was implemented.
I really like your analogy. In the real world, today a single transaction on the Bitcoin blockchain costs over 200kWh. Bitcoin and its blockchain are simply a crime against humanity, it needs to stop.
