Adrian Toh’s early years were marked by personal challenges, including his parents’ divorce. During this turbulent period, career aspirations were not a priority. However, he found solace in war movies and joined the national cadet corps in secondary school.

Joining the Military

At 17, Adrian signed on with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) as an N-level student. He sought a career that could develop his leadership skills, provide career progression, and ensure financial stability for his family. This decision proved pivotal, setting the stage for his future success.

Making a Difference through Business

Driven by a desire to Make a Difference (M.A.D.), Adrian eventually transitioned from military service to running his own business. As the Managing Director of Success Frontiers Training and Consultancy Pte Ltd, he focuses on leadership development, coaching, and profiling tools.

Leadership and Personal Development

Adrian emphasizes the importance of self-belief, stating that the greatest obstacle is often oneself. He advocates for continuous learning and staying focused on future goals, recognizing that every obstacle is a test of one’s determination.

Overcoming Academic Challenges

Struggling with the mental model that he couldn’t study well due to being an N-level student, Adrian faced challenges during his university days and military career. However, he found that signing on with the SAF was the best choice, as it taught him leadership, personal mastery, and interpersonal skills.

Influence of Mentors and Networks

Adrian credits his aunt with playing a significant role in guiding his spiritual and personal career. Additionally, he highlights the power of networking, old boys’ connections, and personal reputation as vital factors in his success.

Continuous Learning and Career Transition

After retiring from the SAF, Adrian’s initial career goal did not materialize. However, through his old boys’ network, he became an accidental facilitator, trainer, and coach. This transition allowed him to align his passion with his profession, doing what he loves best.
