INT. Ana’s Room — Night

Dark Room. An antique clock that reads 11:58. Trembling as she stares at the shadows across the room.

A monstrous cold laugh. A figure standing in the shadows stares back at Ana.

The Figure (sarcastically)
All the blame falls on me.

Ana (afraid)
You! You set us all up!

The figure (laughing)
That’s what people say. Everyone wants to escape. Blame, blame, blame.

Ana
Escape what? Get away!

The figure
Me.

Ana
Because you make us do bad things!

The figure
It all happens in your head. Choices and what you do.

Ana
Please stop it.

The figure
I’m not doing anything.
But if there is anything I can do, I won’t steal humanity’s chance to show who they are.

Ana
Why are you doing this? Why!
Tell us what to do. What do you want?

The figure
Remember three things:
Do not blame others.
Be brave.
Live.

Fade out

I am still afraid of what could happen and the consequences of each. But I want to live, all I can do is trust.

Trust that we will be what we are and lean into whatever good can happen.

Thank you for reading!
