Those are the names they came with, so we can’t take too much credit. However, Petco didn’t sex them and we found out at the vet that their names are backwards! So now Bonnie is short for Pope Boniface and Clyde is short for Clytemnestra.

Snakes are great pets! Just be sure to do your research into their care ahead of time. I’d recommend a corn snake over a ball python as a starter snake. Corns are much less particular about cage temperature and humidity, and they’re more diurnal than ball pythons, so you’ll see them out and about more instead of just (healthily) hiding under things in their enclosures. They’re also not picky about food in the way ball pythons can be.
