I was heartbroken waking up to learn that some of the biggest Twitter influrcers have been silenced by deleting their account by Twitter.

This is something than none of us expect to happen in a century where freedom of speech and expression should not be an issue since all these rights have been mandated in the Constitution.

Social media came as a safer platform to exercise these freedom vice vice the mainstream media which face a challges due to cesorship from the government and other regulatory bodies.

My first belief was that social media was a free space where people would interact and share their views freely but seems this has shifted to a platform where doctorship, selfishness and greediness in advertising is killing this freedom.

Early this year face fell a victim of selling and sharing is users data to third parties.Twitter is another platform that has been seen to side work with corrupt governments and Deranged companies to silence influrcers who have chapionining for human rights, justice fairness and corruption.

Is social media safe? This questions keeps recurring in my mind. Social media nowadays has lost its silence meaning of interacting and free speech sites. If slot of opinion shappers and whistle blowers are being tageted by social media owners like witter and trying to silence their work, this doesn't add up either.

Many whistle blowers and attacked influrcers are now opting to other free speech platforms like 'gab' where they have been assured a safer ground and no disturbance.Twitter and Facebook has a bigger challenge that they should recollect themselves maintain the trust we had in them.
