10 Things My Disability Has Taught Me
1. Everyone has a disability, even if you can’t spot it at first.
2. Every weakness can be a strength, and every strength a weakness.
3. Accepting your flaws isn’t the same as giving up or settling.
4. First impressions are everything, but they don’t have to be the whole story.
5. Sometimes it really is too late.
6. But before that happens, every moment is a chance to turn things around.
7. It’s all in the mind, but it’s all in the body too, so look after both and they’ll look after each other.
8. Don’t shut off anger and sadness — sometimes they can be your greatest motivators.
9. One look can say a thousand words.
10. Love life and you’ll learn to love yourself eventually.
