Ayn Rand Politicians on Healthcare
Politicians who believe that free market is “compassionate” have never ran a profitable business before or are just lying.
A profitable business will serve their richest customer the best. Serving 2 wealthy customers is easier than serving 10 customers with a strict budgets.
Many businesses will always take advantage of unknowledgeable customers. That’s why elderly people are still paying for AOL dial up internet every month. That’s how 13 people died and years passed before GM finally made a recall.
There are no incentives to serve the poor customers unless you can reach a massive scale like Wal-Mart. I can bet that Fedex has no interest in delivering your letters for 49 cents.
Take this in the context of health care. Do you want Wal-Mart like service for your medical needs?
