The U.S. Navy’s F/A-18 Squadrons Are Broken

This is the problem with using our expensive tactical aircraft for bombing huts in Afghanistan, Iraq, etc. Once the initial phase of combat was over and complete air supremacy was assured, we should have employed FAR cheaper aircraft to conduct daily operations. Why use an F-18 when a turboprop A-29 could do the job just as well for a fraction of the cost and not use of the limited airframe hours on our tactical fighters?
