Buffalo football player dies a week after a training session emergency

The defensive end for the University at Buffalo has died a week after undergoing some kind of urgent medical situation during a team conditioning practice.

The university cannot divulge any details of the incident at this time due to legal reasons, but they did release a statement Tuesday that Solomon Jackson died Monday night at Buffalo General Hospital.

According to Buffalo officials, head coach Lance Leipold will be making an announcement from the team sometime in the near future.

Pro golfer suffers heart attack at Honda Classic

Professional golfer Jason Bohn had a heart attack just after completing his second round last Friday at the Honda Classic.

After being rushed to the hospital, doctors found that one of his arteries had a 99 percent blockage.

“The craziest part about the whole situation is I had no idea that I was having a heart attack…” Bohn said.

Lindsay Vonn is out for the season due to knee injury

Lindsay Vonn, American skier and winner of 76 World Cup championships, has announced that her season will be cut short due to three fractures in her knee. Vonn took a hard crash Saturday in one of her races which resulted in three fractures in her tibial plateau. She is currently the leader in Overall World Cup standings and is planning on attending the World Championships in St. Moritz next year as well as the Winter Olympics the year after that.
