As a freelance writer, I can certainly relate to the situations mentioned in the article, and the suggestions and the strategies are both helpful and pertinent. My work relationship with IAPWE is worthwhile because I could tell from the written instructions and expectations that the time I would spend on the assignment would be worthwhile. For me, when vetting the legitimacy of a potential client, I evaluate the written explanations of the assignment, and search the history of the client on the job platform.

Although there is no for-sure way to evaluate a timely payment, the time taken to view the client’s history of the web-based job platform, as well as the time and care taken to explain the assignment, are good indicators of a legitimate client with well-thought expectations.
