Soup Challenge — Day 5

After throwing the day’s ingredient into the pot and turning on the stove, Sarina and I sat down to do a crossword puzzle. 15 minutes later, I caught a faint whiff of something roasting. I jumped up towards the stove and pulled the soup off the burner.

Although it wasn’t completely burnt, some bits where blackened and stuck to the bottom. We avoided complete tragedy today but what about tomorrow?

It brings up the question of what should happen in scenario “charred pot”. Will we stop the soup challenge? Start again from scratch? Try to recreate the unrepeatable soup we burned?

We don’t have the answers to these questions yet, but today our eyes were opened to the world of soup tragedy and the issues that every soup owner must wrestle with.
