Create a Corporate Mobile Center of Excellence

Hi Rob, thanks for sharing this post. While I agree the governance around mobility needs to be inclusive in a CoE, I believe that the mantra needs to shift from control to enablement. It’s a pretty big shift where you hide the policies in the background and bring the user experience to the foreground. Mobile devices are as personal as an electronic gadget gets. You show users the amazing experience they can have at work with their mobile devices – BYOD or CYOD – and sell them on the ability for them to work on any device, with their apps and data, anywhere, any time. The governance stuff needs to happen, but constant talk about policies is not going to spin people’s wheels to continue to contribute to the CoE.
