I liked your adamant determination that should life return back you would have done exactly the same. From an ethical point of view there was no choice, but to join the call to oust a regime who ruled for almost 30 years, apparently tried to create a dynasty and had signs of corruption. All of this remain true despite the unpopular facts that this regime delivered robust economic gross coupled with what seemed to be a stable environment in its last years.

In brief the call for change was legitimate yet there was no plan to follow. What was much worse is that Egypt didn’t seem to have the compromise culture that Tunisia showed in the previous years. When liberals including myself didn’t like the Brotherhood they accepted the ousting of a freely elected president and by doing this they set a precedent that just can’t lead to democracy. This is the fact that we still can’t confess.
