Kindness is a Way of Life, but Let’s Start as an Activity
Kindness is contagious. Although we are quite familiar and used to of courtesies, we rarely try being kind. But, when you do act kind, there cannot be better source of satisfaction than having helped people in their burdened lives with a little smile, a surprising incentive, or a warm welcome.
Kindness is no particular activity; it is a way of living. But, to start with, we should impose this upon ourselves and set certain goals for getting habitual at being ‘kind’. No good deed is small, if it is done with good intentions. Even a mere smile can change someone’s whole day.
I tried this thing on myself, and although performed quite poorly at occasions, I did get a feel of how we should behave with people. Here are a few of the things a ‘intentionally’ tried out of kindness:
1. Resisted sending a message of disappointment and that of disgust in one of the Whatsapp groups.
2. Gave super discount to a client for providing services to his animal, twice.
3. Called and tried to support a jobless and apparently despairing friend.
4. Created and offered internet hotspot to fellows in library.
5. Greeted a stranger with “AssalamuAlaikum”.
