We spent all of our life running away from our oldest enemy — Death and just like the merchant who tried fleeing death to Samarra, we live our life running so fast in a way that we cannot realize that death is waiting for us at Samarra. If you are traveling to a country and you have very few hours there, wouldn’t you make the most of your visit? Our time is limited in life we know eventually we are all gonna die and we cannot do anything to stop that.
Not knowing when to leave this life should make us more responsible and focused.
The only way to defeat death is to be ready for it when it knocks on your door, smile and ask it what took you so long? I’ve been waiting for you. But being ready is never easy and to win this battle you have to do two things: Embrace and Act
Embrace: by thinking of death as a gift
Think of death as a cheat code to life — death tells us that our time is limited we have to do so much in so little time, so you gotta play your cards right by investing your time in good ideas at the right place with the right people.
Act: Leave a touch, Leave a legacy
Make something that makes people live better around you make them remember you because of what you did to them and of how much you made a change in their life.
It doesn’t matter what is your belief:
Whatever is your belief—it shouldn’t matter where are you going after you die — what matters is making the most of your visit in life.
