Human Remains in Chippewa
MOUNT PLEASANT– An investigation intensifies as police work to gather clues involving the death of a well-known cave climber in a Chippewa river today.
He was 35 years old and worked as a Multimedia Professor at CMU. Police say that the death of Trevor Bhiel shocked the Mount Pleasant Media District community, with many people wondering what could have done such a thing.
“This is so insane, I can’t walk down the street anymore,” said an anonymous woman.
Bhiel, a Central Michigan Professor, was allegedly found dead in the Chippewa river today. The report came with the horrific discovery of only his bones being found. The bones allegedly were covered with a slimy goo.
“Trevor has been in this area for a very long time, and a lot of people know Trevor as he’s hosted so many events for people,” the woman said.
Police aren’t commenting on the matter in which Trevor was killed.
Local 4 was told that the grisly discovery was made when the 32-year-old was found at the community park early this morning. The man went on a walk with his dog Sunday Sally. Sally started barking, says Local 4 when discovering Tervor’s remains.
“He was a very good, fast climber. Whatever, got him was no normal cave animal.” the woman said.
Trevor’s absence will definitely be felt in the hospital where he works. A spokesperson with University of Central Michigan will speak on him this afternoon.
