It bothers me that the 911 claim goes unchallenged. Davao City is not the only place in Asia with an Emergency Hotline number. It’s not even the only place in Asia that uses 911 for police, ambulance and fire services. There are many other countries that have been using numbers like 911, 112 or 999 long before Davao introduced their system in 2002. The Philippines has a nationwide 117 number for emergency services, does this also work in Davao City?
