57. Saved to Serve
Today’s reading: “The Ministry of Healing” pp. 95, 96.
How quickly the day was ruined,… or not. Major, terrifying issues are never expected and when they happen we “flee in terror” with the disciples. Is that the most fruitful reaction? Where is Jesus?
He … does not flee!
Even the biggest problem is “helpless” in the face of our Jesus.
Did you ask for Jesus’ presence today. Well what do you have to worry about? He has conquered every foe. He has never lost a confrontation.
As we read yesterday,
The omnipotent power of the Holy Spirit is the defense of every contrite soul. No one who in penitence and faith has claimed His protection will Christ permit to pass under the enemy’s power.
We will continue to read more about the demoniacs tomorrow but for today, take heart that our Saviour doesn't reject you just because of your “demons”, those hurts, habits or hang-ups you are helpless to escape. Remember,
One is near who can save (you) from the tormenting demons.
Even demons know exactly who Jesus is… and quake.
