Catch 22 — if you don’t buy AMD, then devs won’t support it. Devs don’t support it, people don’t buy it.
And as far as WSL — it’s getting better, but it’s still got some work to do before it catches up with macOS bash. I have a conda installation, a postgres installation (in cmd.exe) and a WSL installation and they all have quirks that are preventing me from having it all in one command line. I imagine this can be mitigated through some hacks and maybe a docker installation, but doesn’t seem worth the hassle atm.
