Introducing the Hyperlane Foundation. Our mission is to steward and expand the Hyperlane network: The first interoperability solution that expands through community collaboration, and soon, the first truly developer-owned network.

The Hyperlane network is an open interoperability framework. It empowers developers to connect anywhere onchain and build applications that can easily and securely communicate between multiple blockchains. Importantly, the Hyperlane network is fully open-source and permissionless for anyone to use.

Today, the Hyperlane Foundation* introduces HYPE, a token that will establish an alliance between motivated users of the Hyperlane network. Most importantly, HYPE is designed to build the foundation for a developer-owned network, one where those who make it useful become owners.

The Hyperlane Foundation will initiate the Hyperlane Alliance. The Hyperlane Alliance will represent the interests of users and developers who collectively shape the future of the Hyperlane network and ecosystem. Members of the Hyperlane Alliance will also oversee a grants program, which recognizes meaningful contributions to the Hyperlane network.

We aim for the Hyperlane network to become the first truly open interoperability framework that is created in collaboration with an engaged community of developers.
