Fear! Isn’t it is a tricky emotion?
More than tricky, it can be overwhelming at times. And in some of the absolute cases, exhausting!
But nothing to worry about, fortunately, there are ways to strengthen yourself and to resist fear more effectively. We do need to strengthen our mental muscles to control fear, otherwise fear will control us.
And that’s where mindfulness does its part.
It allows you to build the physical fibres that switch off the amygdala (the part of your brain that triggers terror and panic present inside of you). So, the things that currently affect or terrify you, will no longer do.
If you sense panic and you identify it, then it becomes real for you. It usually happens when the fear tends to spiral out of control.
When you experience something, but you know it’s not you, it becomes easier to cope with your fears.
Mindfulness is mental training and it’s vital to your success, especially in any self-related work.
If you can’t deal with your fear, you can’t work with yourself.
